IPC IRWIN PowerBase S8

The Powerbase S8 is an extra heavy-duty power supply offering AC and DC voltages with currents up to 8 Amps, achieved using our safe relay switching system. Both AC and DC voltages range from 0 to 12V in 1V steps, and both outputs may be used simultaneously up to a combined output current of 8 Amps. In addition, the power supply incorporates both a safety cut-out in case of an overload or short circuit, and our unique ‘Voltage Locking System’ which allows the output voltage (AC & DC) to be limited to either a max. or min. voltage, or a range of voltages.

DESCRIPTION.

The IPC Irwin Powerbase 8 PSU offers 0 to 12V in both AC and DC up to a maximum current of 8 Amps, the DC output is a fully rectified, non-smoothed voltage. The front panel incorporates an illuminated on/off rocker mains switch, a voltage adjustment control knob, which is used to select the required output voltage, the approx. voltages are shown surrounding the control. Also included on the front panel are five 4mm output sockets for the AC, DC and earth connections and the safety cut-out reset button. As mentioned above, the S8 PSU also incorporates our unique ‘Voltage Locking System’, this consists of 5 Allen key screw heads surrounding the voltage rotary switch, which are screwed out to prevent the dial from fully rotating. Located at the rear of the unit is a 2.0m power lead with a standard UK mains plug fitted.
