This technical demonstration presented by Richard Patterson, provides school science teachers and technicians with a complete guide to setting up and executing the Geiger-Müller experiment using IPC Irwin hardware. We walk through the precise configuration of the IPC Irwin GM Tube and Scaler/Timer to record particle count rate versus distance in air. This video focuses on technical setup, accurate data collection, minimizing experimental error, and maintaining strict classroom safety protocols when handling standard sealed radioactive sources.

The IPC Irwin Vibration Generator is a key piece of physics lab equipment used in schools to demonstrate wave behaviour, mechanical oscillations, and resonance. Acting much like a specialised loudspeaker, it converts electrical signals from a function or signal generator into precise vertical motion. These durable units help teachers turn abstract GCSE and A‑Level concepts into visible, hands‑on experiments.
