Multitap Transformer

The Multitap Transformer contains a general purpose low voltage isolating transformer, which can be used to provide power in many applications, such as electromagnetic kits, low voltage lamps, heating elements, ticker tape timers etc.
DESCRIPTION.
The unit provides tapped AC outputs of 0, 2, 3, 8 and 12VAC at currents up to 6A continuous or 8A for periods of up to 1 hour. The output voltages are supplied via five standard 4mm sockets radially spaced around a central 0V common socket. Additional outputs voltages of 1, 4, 5, 6, 9 and 10VAC can be selected by the choice of sockets used. For example, connecting between outer sockets such as the 3V and 8V sockets will provide and output of 5V. An illuminated on/off switch is mounted on the rear panel adjacent to a fused IEC inlet socket and is housed in a robust metal case with a durable powder coated finish.
